Phuket Luxury Apartments
Luxury apartment complexes and
condominiums have grown in standard over recent years and are still a
very popular investment opportunity on Phuket which attracts a good
number of expats and retirees looking to make a profitable investment.
Demand
for high end luxury apartments is on the increase and the choice of
properties is vast. These represent the easiest form of ownership as a
foreigner. Thai law forbids foreigners owning land outright, but has a
structure allowing 49 per cent ownership of an apartment building, which
effectively means full ownership of apartments within that building for
selected investors.
Phuket is a lot larger in size than its
competitor Samui and prices can vary a great deal depending on location
and size of the property. Popular locations on the southern beaches
areas of Karon, Kata and Patong are now considered very developed and
carry a very high price tag. Developers are turning to the quieter,
more up market areas on the eastern and western coasts in Layan, Bang
Tao, Chalong to create beautiful affordable tropical luxury apartments
complexes in the remote corners of the island.
