Amazing Thailand Grand Sale
Grand sale extended until 31 August
to attract shoppers.
Tourism Authority of Thailand is currently
promoting the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2009 that runs until 31 August
in the hope it will help stimulate tourism during what it calls the "green season".
The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale offers discounts
of between 10 and 70% at participating department stores, shopping
complexes and retail outlets along designated “Shopping Streets.â The
campaign runs in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Hua Hin, Samui
and Hat Yai.
Grand SaleShopping Streets at these destinations
provide a convenient opportunity to browse for bargains and check out
handicrafts including decorative items for the home.
In addition
to discounts there are special promotions on offer at retail and service
outlets displaying the 'Thailand Grand Sale' decal. However, conditions
apply and it always a good idea to read the small print to understand
any limitations on use.
The special offers include free gifts,
discount coupons, vouchers and lucky draw prizes.
In Pattaya,
Chonburi province, more than 200 hoteliers have joined the campaign to
offer discounts on accommodation or add other features such as a
complimentary spa treatment.
As more department stores and
shopping malls have opened this year, the choice in Pattaya has grown
considerably to include discounts at Home Product Centre; Avenue
Pattaya; Royal Garden Plaza; Carrefour Pattaya; Aiyaree Place; World
Gems Collection; Central Centre Pattaya; Central Festival Pattaya Beach;
